Structural Steel Estimator

Job Description:

The primary responsibility of a Estimator is to research/identify upcoming steel projects and prepare take off of materials, labor, buyout items, and equipment costs to prepare a thorough estimate.

Duties:

Performs some or all of the following:

• Research and identify upcoming steel projects
• Obtain proper construction plans
• Utilize Berger Steel Estimating Excel Program
• Read and interpret job bid instructions and detailed specification for preparation of estimate
• Prepare take off of materials, estimate all necessary labor, materials, buyout items, and equipment costs to prepare a thorough estimate
• Provide a full document trail in a package that can be easily reviewed by senior management
• Prepare scope sheet for bidding purposes

Required experience: 2-5 years of construction estimating experience

Supervision: Senior Management will determine final pricing. This position does not provide the customer with any pricing unless directed by Berger Steel Senior Management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
